American Institute for Steel Construction

Opportunities. AISC offers scholarships and fellowships.  Scholarships range from
$500 to $5,000. Fellowships are $2500 to $5000.  For more information contact

The Ian Parry Scholarship (www.ianparry.org)
The scholarship will be a prize of £2500 towards the cost of an assignment for The
Sunday Times Magazine and Metro Imaging also offer £500 of printing vouchers.
The winning entry and selected finalist’s work will be exhibited at the Getty Gallery in
Central London.  The scholarship is open to anyone of any age attending a
recognised photographic course and to any photographer up to the age of 24.

Entry criteria
There is no entry fee
•        A completed entry form
•        A portfolio of not more than 12 photographs, either a photo-essay or individual photos, black
and white and / or colour, (preferred print size is 12x16 for exhibition).  Please mark the back of
each print with your name, the print number (e.g. 1/12), telephone number, email and a caption
for each print.
•        A detailed proposal of your chosen assignment including specific information and articles
relevant to it.  It should be noted that the written section is considered extremely important.  The
judges will need to be impressed by your ability to produce a convincing assignment proposal as
well as your skills as a photographer.
•        The deadline is mid June.
The Sunday Times reserves the right to publish material entered for the award.  Although great
care will be taken, no responsibility can be accepted for lost or damaged material. Portfolios will
be returned by registered post.

Southern Association of Colleges and Employers
Did you know that the SoACE organization has Scholarship funds for the
educational/professional interests of its current  members? To be eligible to apply
you must be a current member of SACE representing an employer or
college/university or be a current full-time student undergraduate or graduate

What is the Platt Caddie Scholarship?
GAP founded the Scholarship in 1958 to provide financial means for member club
caddies to attend the college or university of their choice. To date, 3,000 caddies
have received in excess of $10 million in tuition assistance.

Who does the Scholarship benefit?
The individual caddies, the players who benefit from the caddie’s service and the
game of golf. Indirectly, the communities to which these scholars migrate after
graduation, benefit from their newfound enrichment.

Who is eligible for a scholarship?
Individual caddies at GAP member clubs who have provided a minimum of one year
of caddie service, have financial need and have the ability to pursue a college
education.

American Legacy Scholarship
Eligibility:
Child/Children, or legally adopted child/children, of active duty United States military
and Guard, and Reserve personnel who were federalized and died on active duty
on or after September 11, 2001. Must be a high school senior or high school
graduate to apply for the scholarship. Scholarship is for undergraduate study at a U.
S. school of higher education.

Aid Offered:
The amount and number of awards depends upon the income derived from the

The Paul Berry Academic Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (PBASF) was founded
in March 1994 by Amy Berry as a birthday present for her husband. Paul L. Berry,
Jr. is a well-known television news anchorman who has been a strong leader in the
Washington, D.C. area. He is especially committed to the education of children. The
PBASF offers scholarship funds for outstanding minority students in the Washington
metropolitan area.

Eligibility Criteria:
       Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
•        Be a teacher, or plan to become a teacher, of American history, American government, or
social studies at the secondary school level (grades 7-12).
•        Possess a bachelor's degree or plan to receive a bachelor's degree no later than August 31
of the year in which you are applying.
•        Wait at least three years from the time that any previous graduate degree was awarded
before applying for a James Madison Fellowship.
•        After earning a master's degree, each James Madison Fellow must teach American history,
