Accomplishments for FY 2008

Summary
As of February 11, 2008, TTF had donated 2,727
books and 6 boxes of new children's clothing to
various organizations.   

Details
In February 2008, TTF sent books to partners:  
Hooked on Books, Women's Prison Book Project and
another prison book project.  

In December 2007, two boxes of children's clothing
were distributed to at-risk children in Florida.  In early
November, TTF sent five boxes of books to the Walter
L. Smith Library in Tampa, FL and another six boxes
to a Central Florida Boys and Girls Club.  
Developments in Literacy and Hooked on Books also
received books.

In October, TTF sent books to our prison literacy
partners, another prison literacy organization, and a
Native American reservation.  TTF also donated
seven boxes to an auxiliary organization of a Florida
library.  Children's clothing went to a Maryland
organization for at-risk families and to a Colorado
organization which helps at-risk Native American
families.


Accomplishments for FY 2007

Summary
As of the end of FY 2007, TTF had donated 6,893
books and 34 boxes of new children's clothing to
various organizations.  Seven boxes of school
supplies were also donated.

Details
Just before the end of FY 2007, TTF mailed boxes of
children's clothing to our friends at Safe Passage and
to the Sisters in Mississippi.  In mid-July 2007, TTF
mailed four boxes of new children's clothing to a
Native American community center in Colorado and
three boxes to School on Wheels. Another two boxes
were donated to a Florida program for at-risk children.
 In June 2007, TTF donated seven boxes of books to
two existing library programs. In May 2007, TTF
donated books to a prison book library.

In April and May 2007, boxes of children's clothing
and school supplies were sent to Safe Passage, Eden
Garden, and School on Wheels as well as a Colorado
agency to help in-need Native American families. In
conjunction with an existing organization's work, three
boxes of children's clothing were distributed to
Maryland public service organizations for at-risk
families.  In April 2007, TTF donated books to a public
service organization in Arlington, VA, and to a prison
book program.

In March 2007, TTF sent eight boxes of books to
Guam public schools. I also mailed five boxes of
children's clothing to India in anticipation of my trip
there later this year.  

In January 2007,  TTF sent 14 boxes of books to the
Women's Prison Book Project and seven boxes to
Hooked on Books of Kansas City. Shipments also
went to Island Girl Power of Guam and Developments
in Literacy for Pakistani girls' schools. Boxes of
clothing and school supplies went to nonprofits in
Washington, DC, and California.  Books and clothing
also went to Safe Passage for Guatemalan children
and to Eden Garden for the orphans in Haiti. Two
boxes were sent to a Florida prison library system.

In November 2006, seven boxes of books were sent to
two prison library programs.

In October 2006, TTF sent 20 boxes of books to two
community centers on Native American reservations.  
Also during October, TTF sent books and supplies to
a charitable organization in Puerto Rico and to Island
Girl Power in Guam.
Accomplishments for FY 2013

Summary

In November and December 2012 TTF sent donations to our partners in
SD for the Cheyenne River Youth Project and also to friends in IL for the
LBD Enterprises.  These were donations of new children's clothing, toys,
arts and craft supplies.  TTF sent arts and crafts supplies and
school/hygiene supplies to Central Florida youth programs,  the Sisters
of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (MS).

In January 2013, TTF dropped off donations to two Boys and Girls Clubs.
The donation included school and hygiene supplies, reading material.  
TTF also sent boxes of gift bags to troops and outreach officers at New
Kabul Camp, Afghanistan.  In these boxes also were donation of school
supplies for Afghan children.  

Accomplishments for FY 2012

Summary
TTF continued its existing work with Boys and Girls Clubs in Central
Florida, CRYP and the Sisters.  As well, TTF continued with its support of
bubble gum diplomacy with troops in Afghanistan.

Accomplishments for FY 2011

Summary
On August 5, 2010, TTF dropped off donations to two Boys and Girls
Clubs; the donation included school supplies, hygiene supplies and
children's clothing and shoes.  In late July 2010, TTF sent boxes of gift
bags to troops and the outreach officers at Camp Kabul, Afghanistan.  
TTF established a new relationship with CWAH and continued its
relationship with the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary,
Cheyenne River Youth Project, Island Girl Power and LBD Enterprises.

Accomplishments for FY 2010

Summary
As of July 17, 2010, TTF had donated 4,542 books to various
organizations.   Ten boxes of new children's clothes were distributed to
organizations in Florida, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Colorado and South
Dakota.  School supplies were sent to youth organizations in Florida.
Several boxes of books went to prison book projects.

Details
In April 2010,  TTF sent boxes of new children's clothing to a Boys and
Girls Club in central Florida, two reservation programs, Island Girl Power,
Cops and Kids Reading Program and LBD Enterprises/Suburban Toys
for Kids.  In February 2010, TTF sent books to partners:  two Boys and
Girls Clubs, the Women's Prison Book Project and another prison book
project.  The Boys and Girls Clubs also received Valentine's gift bags
which included hygiene products; the two clubs serve underserved
communities in central Florida.  In response to the devastation in Haiti,
TTF sent medical supplies, new underwear, towels and other supplies to
Haiti via a Florida missionary relief organization.

In December 2009, children's clothing and gift bags of hygiene products
were distributed to at-risk children in Florida.  

In September and October 2009, TTF sent school supplies, clothing and
hygiene supplies to the two Boys and Girls Clubs, the Cheyenne River
Youth Project and Cops and Kids Reading Program of Milwaukee.  Two
boxes of toys were sent to People to People International for Iraqi
children.
